CAPTURE THE CARBON.
REUSE THE ENERGY.
CAPTURE THE CARBON. REUSE THE ENERGY.
A new energy equation for carbon capture.

Our tech

We’re pioneering a new, low energy pathway: Supercapacitive Direct Air Capture.

Our system uses supercapacitor technology to store and reuse the energy required to capture carbon. Instead of consuming energy, we recover it. This makes Direct Air Capture dramatically more efficient and scalable.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the study and optimisation of core technology components to enhance performance and scalability. Conduct experiments and simulations (e.g., COMSOL) to guide R&D strategy and accelerate technological advancements.
  • Oversee and execute the fabrication and upscaling of core components from prototype to industrial scale, ensuring readiness for supply chain integration and industrial manufacturing. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements for the energy storage technology we are developing.
  • Build and leverage industry and academic networks to support development and commercialization efforts, including assisting in the preparation and development of European grants involving consortia.
Ideal Background

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in a relevant field (Energy Storage, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or related discipline) and/or a minimum of 2-3 years of meaningful industry experience in energy storage.

  • Proven experience working with energy storage devices from TRL 4 onwards, including large-scale applications.
  • Hands-on expertise in fabrication & R&D;
  • Knowledge of quality regulations and industry standards for energy storage technologies and understanding of industry challenges, supply chain logistics, and existing bottlenecks.
  • Experience with simulations and modeling (e.g. COMSOL, DFT, MATLAB) to inform R&D strategies and circuit modeling.
  • Expertise in project management, successfully delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Ability to manage a project, from cost to people and time constraints.
What We Offer

We are an early-stage company building a world-class team, and a game-changing technology based on an ambitious vision, and we are 100% committed to it.

On top of the opportunity to make a REAL impact in the climate fight, we offer:

  • Full-time (CDI) contract
  • Competitive compensation and equity package based on profile & experience.
  • Sponsor relocation visa if needed
  • Benefits: health insurance, meal vouchers, 50% commute refund
  • The unique opportunity to join the startup from its inception and play a critical role in its growth.
  • A collaborative, dynamic, and stimulating work environment;
  • Work ethic and intellectual honesty.

Your Responsibilities

Design and development

We’ll work on a fully integrated prototype for best-in-class performance. You’ll implement and configure the process, catalytic reactors, surrounding equipment (flowing, analysis), and associated software. As part of this, you will develop, own and improve the Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA)

Performance assessment

You’ll implement a close feedback loop on the system - allowing you to observe, orient, decide, and act for future iterations. This may include assessing processes, taking measurements, running and testing different samples, performing process simulations, and issue troubleshooting.

Scale-up

You will also drive the scale-up process at the appropriate time, ensuring the system's sustainability and scalability. Working alongside the CTO, you will oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of the pilot plant project.

Ideal Background

We are looking for a candidate with a MSc or PhD, with at least 2-3 years experience in startup/industrial environment.

  • Proven experience in industrial projects, particularly involving large-scale electrochemical processes and/or carbon capture, storage, utilization.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology scale-up from TRL 4 to TRL 7-8.
  • Demonstrated experience with TEA and LCA.
  • Proficiency in process modeling software (e.g., Aspen plus).
  • Expertise in project management, successfully delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Ability to manage a project, from cost to people and time constraints.
